Dodgers Officially Send Yasiel Puig To Minors

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Dodgers officially announced Tuesday that they will be sending Yasiel Puig down to the minor leagues in order to create room on the team's active roster after adding Josh Reddick, Rich Hill, and Jesse Chavez during yesterday's trade deadline.

Representatives for the Dodgers outfielder were reportedly made aware yesterday that the team's intention was to either trade him or send him down.

In 2013, the Cuban phenom posted a OPS of .925.  Since that miraculous year, Puig has seen a steady drop in his production as in '14 his OPS was .863, '13 .758, and this year thus far has put together a mere .706 OPS.
