Greinke Among 4 Dodgers Named To 2015 NL All-Star Roster

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Zack Greinke will join teammates Joc Pederson, Yasmani Grandal and Adrian Gonzalez on the National League roster in the 2015 MLB All-Star Game.

Greinke, who has the lowest ERA in the NL, has yet to be named as the starter of the National League team, and with Giants skipper Bruce Bochy managing the squad, Dodger fans may be disappointed.

Fellow Dodgers starter and reigning Cy Young winner and MVP of the National League, Clayton Kershaw, was named as a final vote candidate for the NL roster. Kershaw joins Cincinnati's Johnny Cueto, New  York's Jeurys Familia, St. Louis' Carlos Martinez and Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki on the final vote list. Tulowitzki marks the only position player on the list.

Dodgers rookie Pederson, in the wake of a monumental rookie campaign, finished seventh out of all NL outfielders with 3.6 million votes.

Grandal, who came to the Dodgers as part of the deal that sent Matt Kemp to San Diego, finished fifth out of all NL catchers, with 1.8 million votes. Buster Posey led that group with 9.9 million votes.

It was reported Monday night that Pederson would replace the Cardinals' Matt Holiday as a starting outfielder should Holiday be unable to play.

First baseman Gonzalez finished third behind Paul Goldschmidt and Joey Votto with 4.1 million votes.

On the American League roster, Angels phenom Mike Trout received an unprecedented 14 million votes to lead all AL outfielders. First baseman Albert Pujols joins him on the AL roster, being fifth among eligible first basemen.
