Disneyland Preps For Limited Reopening Friday
ANAHEIM (CBSLA) -- For the first time in 13 months, Disneyland will let guests in once again starting Friday, making fans everywhere rejoice.
Since Tuesday, the park has had a soft opening for cast members' families, and Friday it opens to the general public with a few limitations.
Soon, Disneyland and California Adventure will open at 25% to 35% capacity.
Businesses in the area said they expect about a quarter of their usual business.
One owner of a local Subway restaurant told CBSLA he doesn't believe businesses in the area will recover for at least two years, but he is thankful to be getting customers back in the door.
"Now I'm in a position to say that I need to hire," said Rick Cerney, owner of a Subway location on Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. "That's a good feeling. I like those words. I want to give someone the opportunity to have a job."
