Human Remains Found Near Sky Forest Rehab Center May Be Those Of Missing Patient

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Deputies are examining whether human remains, discovered near a rehab center, are those of a former patient who has been missing for eight months.

The remains were found yards away from the Above It All treatment center, based on Highway 18 in Sky Forest, near Lake Arrowhead.

Donovan Doyle, 21, has been missing from Sky Forest since October 9, 2013.

On Monday, a private search party suggests they may have discovered his remains.

Doyle went missing from the treatment center shortly after calling his parents to tell him that he was leaving.

The members of the search party discovered a Nike sweatshirt, as well as a wallet, which they say they expect belonged to Doyle.

The search has since been transferred to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

The remains are pending identification by the coroner's department, who said Monday night that a positive identification could take several days to complete.
