Detectives searching for alleged gunman in shooting that left one dead, one wounded in Perris

One man was killed and another was wounded during a shooting in Perris on Wednesday and detectives are searching for the alleged gunmen. 

The shooting happened at around 3:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Indian Hills Circle, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, who sent deputies to the area after learning of shots fired. 

They arrived to find two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite attempted life-saving measures, one of the men died at the scene. He has not yet been identified. 

The second victim, also unidentified, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, deputies said. 

The department's homicide detectives assumed the investigation. They have not yet released information on possible suspects or a motive in the shooting.
