Detectives Asking Public's Help To Nab Starbucks Card Bandit
CANYON COUNTRY (CBSLA.com) – Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are asking the public to help them identify a Starbucks gift card thief.
The card was reportedly stolen from the victim's unlocked vehicle parked on the 27500 block of Trail Ridge Road of Canyon Country during the late night hours of Thursday, January 15, 2015.
Authorities said the unidentified victim had registered the gift card online, and received a text from Starbucks showing the gift card had been used locally. Detectives on the case discovered the gift card was used at the Starbucks located at 24802 Orchard Village Road in Santa Clarita the following day.
Detectives obtained three surveillance photos of a male using the stolen gift card and are now asking the public's assistance in identifying the alleged thief.
Officials did not reveal how much was loaded on the card of how many times the suspect used it.
