Deputies Searching For Suspect Who Stabbed 5 People In Lynwood

LYNWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Deputies are searching for a man suspected of stabbing five people in a Lynwood parking lot Saturday morning.

The stabbings happened on Long Beach Boulevard and Tweedy Boulevard just before 2 a.m., according to a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

Investigators say a verbal argument over a parking space erupted after a graduation party at a venue near the scene, which soon turned violent.

Four of the five victims were in serious condition and taken to a hospital for treatment. All were expected to survive.

One person was in custody Saturday morning. Authorities say that person was involved in the altercation but was not a part of the stabbing.

Investigators ask anyone who may have information to contact the LASD at 1 (800) 222-TIPS.
