Former 'Power Rangers' Actor Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Roommate With Sword

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives continued their investigation Sunday into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a 36-year-old man in Palmdale.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent around 4:00 p.m. Saturday to a home located in the 38000 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road for report of a stabbing.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, Joshua Sutter, was involved in an argument, which turned into a physical altercation with his roommate, 36-year-old Ricardo Medina.

Deputies said Medina went to his bedroom with his girlfriend, but Sutter proceeded to follow them and forced the door open.

Medina then allegedly stabbed Sutter once in his abdomen with a sword that was kept next to his bedroom door, authorities explained.

Paramedics arrived on scene after Medina called 911 to report the incident. He was later interviewed by homicide bureau detectives, and was subsequently arrested for murder.

Medina is currently being held on $1 million at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Medina starred in 2002 as the Red Wild Force Ranger in 'Power Rangers Wild Force', and later acted as Deker in 'Power Rangers Samurai'.
