Definitive Guide To 'Back To The Future' 30th Anniversary Events
As shocking as it sounds, it's been 30 years since "Back To The Future" was released and October 21, 2015 will also mark the date in which which Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) actually set their clock in the coolest DeLorean DMC-12 car to go back to the future. As you might expect, the world and Los Angeles will be celebrating in a big way with screenings, marathons, and parties planned for the month of October. "A Future Experience / Back To The Future 2 Screening"
Today's activities will include a custom tour of the Universal Hollywood backlot. Admission to Universal Studios Hollywood with front of the line passes are included in the ticketing prices. In addition to the tour, you'll also enjoy a screening of Back To The Future, Part II, along with some special unannounced surprises. The fun doesn't stop there either! You'll also enjoy a screening of the exclusive documentary "Out of Time: Saving The DeLorean Time Machine" which tells the incredible story of the car that everyone has come to know as the BTTF flying car. The film chronicles the efforts of the Back To The Future co-creator / producer Bob Gale, Universal Studios, and the trilogy's uber-dedicated fans as they relentlessly work together to bring the Time Machine back to life. Aside from other offerings, lunch and dinner will also be included.

"Hill Valley Live! Hoverboarding Day: Redux / Back To The Future 3 Screening"
Set on a secret location 1 hour north of Burbank, you'll step foot into a place that has been transformed into Hill Valley, better known as the fictional community where the movie took place. Guests will also take part in viewing an exclusive world premiere screening of the documentary "Back In Time," which is a look at the real impact the 3 BTTF movies have had on our culture at large. Love that hoverboard? Well, you'll actually get to ride on a Hoverboard with the original gang members and the stunt team that made it a reality in the film. Presentations, hands-on demonstrations and many opportunities to get celebrity photos and autographs will also be offered for guests taking part in today's activities. Later on in the day, guests will take part in an evening under the stars with an Old West style BBQ dinner and a special screening of Back to the Future, Part III.

And, you'll be taken back to the original filming location (United Methodist Church in Hollywood) for a recreation of the famous "Enchantment Under The Sea" dance where McFly performed his legendary rock 'n roll guitar riff. Many surprises will be on hand, as well as opportunities for celebrity photos and autographs from your favorite actors. Hors D'Oeuvres and free food trucks will keep you nourished as well.

If you think you've heard and know everything there is to know about the making of his famous film, think again! The original cast and crew will show up today and fill you in on everything that went into the making of this film. Think of it as a Back To The Future university for a day where the cast are your professors. It's surely a class you won't fall asleep in! Aside from the educational aspect, original props will be on display along with never before seen production photos to peak your interest. After the bell rings and school is let out, return to the scene of the famous Libyan attack from the film for the final public screening of Back to the Future, Part 1 at Twin Pines Mall.

Fans of the film will gather at the first real world location used in the film (Burger King in Burbank) all dressed up as Marty McFly and will take part in the largest gathering of costumed Marty McFly's known in history. The event will also help raise money for Team Fox, which helps to not only raise awareness for Parkinson's disease, but will help donate to the cause. The Burger King is one of the locations from the film where Marty can be seen grabbing a hold of a car while riding his skateboard in the beginning of the film. There will also be a raffle drawing and the winners will get tickets to the LA premiere of the Back To The Future documentary Back In Time. In addition, many of the actors of the 3 films have offered up autographed photos for the raffle, including Harry Waters, Jr (Marvin Berry!), Jeffrey Weissman (George McFly in Parts I & II!) and Donald Fullilove (Goldie Wilson!). Back to the Future Props and Wardrobe Auction

As part of the anniversary events, an auction on October 24th will be held in LA featuring props and other wardrobe pieces from all three Back To The Future films. Some items may be a bit pricey, but if you're a die-hard fan, it's definitely worth it, right? Some items include Gray's Sports Almanac dust cover, the USA Today newspaper with McFly being shown arrested, the hoverboard, and probably the coolest item, the sleep inducing alto-generator. Many more items will also be on hand too! Additionally, a few cast members will be at the auction, so you may just be able to grab a piece of history and speak to your favorite character too!

What's so great about it is that the film begins at the abnormal time of 4:29pm. Why you might ask? Well, it's the exact time that Doc and Marty travel to the future in Back to the Future Part II. AMC Theatres, one of the largest theater chains in the country will be hosting it's own BTTF marathon on October 21st which will play the film at 4:29pm, or the moment that Doc and Marty travel to the future in their legendary DeLorean time machine. Once the first film is finished, you can continue with Back to the Future Part II at 7pm and end with Back to the Future Part III at 9:30pm. Tickets will be sold individually at the pre-noon ticket price which vary depending on each participating AMC Theatres location. Make sure to confirm with your local theater that the marathon will be held there.
