Deadly shooting under investigation in Cudahy

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Cudahy on Saturday evening. 

Deputies were dispatched to the 5200 block of Clara Street at around 9:10 p.m. after learning of the incident, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

They arrived and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead, deputies said. 

He has not yet been identified. 

Investigators say that the suspect, only described as a man wearing dark clothing, was seen running from the area headed east.
