Deadly Crash Shuts Down Lanes On 405 Freeway In Van Nuys
VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — A person was killed Friday in a two-vehicle collision during the morning commute along the San Diego (405) Freeway in Van Nuys.
The crash shut down two northbound lanes along the 405 Freeway about 7:15 a.m. north of the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Fire officials say a car into a semi truck parked on the shoulder of the freeway after it had stopped due to mechanical problems.
The truck was unoccupied, authorities said.
Investigators were on scene.
