Crews working to repair natural gas leak in Anaheim

Crews on Wednesday quickly repaired a natural gas leak in Anaheim.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue reported to the scene at around 3 p.m. after receiving reports of the leak, which was causing large flames to escape from the ground.

While they worked to repair the issue, E. Serrano Avenue between Canyon Rim Road and Hidden Canyon Road was closed.

They disclosed that the leak occurred as a result of some underground utility work.

The road was reopened at around 4:30 p.m., after crews had concluded work. Drivers were advised to avoid the area as a precaution.

No injuries were reported and no property was damaged in the incident.
