Crews extinguish fire burning through abandoned theater in Hollywood

Fire crews were able to extinguish a fire burning through an abandoned building in Hollywood Wednesday Afternoon.

The fire department responded to the 1400 block of Las Palmas Avenue just before 1 p.m.

Views from SKY2 showed smoke billowing from the area. 

The abandoned building was said to have been burned in a previous fire and was said to be missing its roof. Authorities said most of the damage seen Wednesday was caused by the previous fire.

Crews were able to completely extinguish the flames in about 20 minutes.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
