Costa Mesa Man Gets 3 Years For Selling Pot-Laced Brownies To Minors

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) —  A 33-year-0ld Costa Mesa man was sentenced to three years in state prison after he pleaded no contest to selling marijuana to minors in 2013.

Isaac Adam Greer was sentenced Monday by O.C. Superior Court Judge John S. Adams.

Greer was arrested for furnishing marijuana to minors, possessing marijuana to sell, transporting marijuana for sale, the sale of a controlled substance to a minor between 14-18, child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Officials said in March and April 2013, students at Pomona Elementary School and Tewinkle Intermediate School reported becoming nauseous after eating brownies shared with them by another student.

Authorities said the brownies were infused with marijuana or a marijuana derivative.

Costa Mesa Police Department Detectives served several search warrants during their investigation which culminated in Greer's arrest last month.

Evidence reportedly seized by detectives included business cards, brownie cake mix, at least 50 pounds of marijuana, scales for weighing pot and other drug paraphernalia.

During his sentencing, Greer pleaded guilty to one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor and one count of sales of marijuana to a minor.
