Convicted Rapist Faces Life In Federal Prison For Child Porn

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles say a child rapist faces up to life imprisonment for producing child pornography in the Philippines.

Stanley Dan Reczko III was convicted by a judge Tuesday of producing child porn while registered as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say that Reczko faces at least 35 years in prison and up to life in prison when sentenced May 18.

A jury previously convicted the 50-year-old of sexually exploiting a minor by producing the porn in the Philippines in 2007.

Prosecutors say Reczko was arrested after the 16-year-old Filipino victim gave a non-governmental organization a CD with the images of Reczko having intercourse with her.

Reczko was a registered sex offender for raping a 14-year-old New York girl.

His lawyer says there are significant appeal issues.
