Clippers Sign Free Agent Guard Dahntay Jones To 10-Day Deal
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) — The Clippers have signed free agent guard Dahntay Jones to a 10-day contract.
Jones was averaging 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 19 games for the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Mad Ants of the NBA's D-League.
The 34-year-old guard has previously played 10 years in the NBA, averaging 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists with Memphis, Sacramento, Denver, Indiana, Dallas and Atlanta.
Jones and Clippers guard J.J. Redick were teammates at Duke during the 2002-03 season.
Jones' top season was in 2009-10, in which he scored 776 points and shot .464 from the field.
