Clippers' DeAndre Jordan & Chris Paul Receive All NBA Team Honors

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Clippers dynamic duo Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan continue to win NBA honors as Jordan was named to the All-NBA First Team for the first time in his career, and Paul was named to the All-NBA Second team for the third time.

The announcement came a day after the Clippers' teammates were both named to the 2015-16 NBA All-Defensive First Team.

Despite failing to get out of the first round in the NBA playoffs this season, the duo contributed in putting together a 50 win season for the fourth straight season, turning the Clippers into a top six team in offensive rating, defensive rating, and net rating.

Jordan, who averaged a career-high 12.7 points per game, also strung together 13.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.2 assists per game.

According to Clippers reporter Rowan Kavner, "The Clippers' center was the only player in the NBA to log at least 1,800 minutes while ranking in the top five in offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating, becoming the Clippers' all-time leading rebounder in the process."

Cavs forward LeBron James, Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, and Thunder guard Russell Westbrook join Jordan on the All-NBA First Team.

Paul finished this season first in assist percentage (52.7) and had the best assist-to-turnover ratio (3.8) among players with at least 60 games played.

The perennial NBA superstar averaged on the season 19.5 points, 10 assists, 2.1 steals, and shot 89.6% from the free-throw line.

This marked the third straight season in which Paul averaged a double-double.

"Paul moved into 11th place all-time in NBA assists in the process and posted the fifth best Player Efficiency Rating (26.2) in the NBA this year," according to Kavner.

Rounding out the rest of the All-NBA Second Team is Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Warriors forward Draymond Green, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, and Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
