Clayton Kershaw Welcomes Rams Back To LA With Engraved Bottles Of Johnnie Walker Blue Label
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw is welcoming the Rams back to Los Angeles with a dram -- or rather, a bottle -- of scotch.
Kershaw is presenting 200 bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch whisky to the Rams organization. The bottles are customized to read, "Johnnie Walker Blue Label: Year of the Ram" and engraved with, "Welcome Home! LA All Day!"
The bottles were gifted to coincide with the debut of HBO's "Hard Knocks" on Tuesday, which will chronicle the Rams off-season.
"It's awesome to welcome the Rams back to Los Angeles. LA is a great sports city and I've loved playing baseball here," Kershaw said in a statement. "I know our loyal LA fan base has been waiting for this moment for a long time. To celebrate their return and welcome the Rams back to our city, it seemed fitting to send the team limited edition bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label: Year of the Ram. I look forward to watching them play for many seasons to come. Here's to a new beginning, great success and a winning season!"
The Rams will pick their bottles up at team headquarters in Thousand Oaks. With the team's first preseason game on Saturday, they will no doubt be encouraged to imbibe responsibly.
Limited edition bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label: Year of the Ram will also be made available at some retailers in the LA area.
