Motorist Injured In Crash With CHP Vehicle

IRWINDALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating a crash involving a California Highway Patrol car in Irwindale that resulted in the injury of a motorist.

The two-car collision, which also involved a Honda, occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Irwindale Avenue and Ornelas Street, according to a CHP spokesperson.

Significant damage was sustained to both vehicles.

The CHP officer was not hurt. However, the driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson.
