Stolen car pursuit ends as suspects run from on foot into Pomona neighborhood

California Highway Patrol officers were in pursuit of an alleged stolen vehicle suspect when a two people inside of the car scattered on foot in Pomona. 

The chase initially began near Dodger Stadium, according to Los Angeles Police Department officers. At some point they handed the incident over to CHP. 

SkyCal was overhead as suspects scattered immediately after stopping near N. East End and Mindo Drive. 

While running from the officers, one of the suspects could be seen tossing an object into an alleyway. Upon closer inspection it appeared to be a handgun. 

Both suspects were taken into custody, police said.
