Chicago Bulls Forward Pleads Not Guilty To DUI After Beverly Hills Traffic Stop

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Chicago Bulls forward Ronnie Brewer pleaded not guilty Wednesday to DUI charges stemming from a traffic stop in Beverly Hills earlier this year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.

Ronald Charles Brewer Jr., 29, is charged with one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content, Deputy District Attorney Karine Fong said.

The 7-year NBA veteran also faces an allegation that his concentration of blood alcohol was 0.15 percent by weight and more, Fong said.

The charges stem from a traffic stop on Feb. 19 near Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, according to prosecutors. The case was filed on May 12.

Brewer is scheduled for another court hearing July 15.
