CEOs Rank Calif. Worst State For Business In New Survey
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A new survey has ranked California the worst state in the country for business.
In a survey taken by more than 500 CEOs, California scored just one out of five stars when it comes to taxes and regulation. It scored three of five stars for work-force quality, but received fairly high marks for living environment.
Texas came in at the top and was followed by Florida and Tennessee.
Officials from Texas were at the Sriracha plant in Irwindale Monday to attempt to woo the hot sauce company to the Lone Star state. If the company moves, it will become the second Southland company to relocate there. Toyota announced last month that it will move its U.S. headquarters from Torrance to Plano.
The survey was conducted by "Chief Executive" magazine.
