Car Smashes Into Downey Apartment Building

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities said a car slammed into an apartment building in Downey Sunday evening.

The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. at Old River School Road and Emily Lane, police said.

No injuries were reported.

A person was in police custody, but it was unclear if that person was the driver of the Volvo that struck the building, the officer said.
