Car Plows Into Long Beach Doughnut Shop Overnight
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A doughnut shop in Long Beach was closed on Sunday for repairs after a driver plowed through the business overnight.
The accident involving a Toyota sedan happened about 2:35 a.m. at Sunrise Donut at 7th Street and Gaviota Avenue.
The business, which is open around-the-clock had employees inside at the time.
According to City News Service, one person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
"A driver of a Toyota sedan struck the business and then fled the scene," said Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt "The suspect was described as a male, 25 to 30."
Pratt said the car was not reported as stolen, and has since been impounded.
