Car crashes into building after pursuit in Leimert Park
A car crashed into a building in Leimert Park, sparking a fire at the site of the collision. The driver was arrested following a brief police pursuit Monday in a reported stolen vehicle.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department started chasing the driver around 9:45 a.m. The vehicle crashed through a fence and into a home at 9th Avenue and Obama Avenue in Leimert Park.
Flames could be seen coming from the crash site. Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly put out the fire.
There were no injuries. The name of the suspect was not immediately available.
