Cal Poly Uses Second-Half Run To Down Fullerton, 65-54

FULLERTON (AP) — Reese Morgan hit four 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to lead Cal Poly to a 65-54 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday night.

Tied at 27 early in the second half, Cal Poly used a 20-8 run to build a 47-35 lead with 8:48 left. The Mustangs cruised from there, leading by 20 points with 3:03 left.

Morgan scored 15 points in the second half and finished 6 of 8 from the floor. Maliik Love had 12 points and Brian Bennett chipped in 10 for Cal Poly (13-11, 6-6 Big West), which has won three straight since snapping a three-game losing streak.

Kennedy Esume scored 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting to lead Cal State Fullerton (9-17, 1-10). Lanerryl Johnson and Jordan Mason added 10 points apiece for the Titans.
