Burglary, Sexual Assault Suspect, 18, Nabbed In Ontario

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) —  Police in Ontario have announced the arrest of a burglary and sexual assault suspect.

Officials said Brandon Alberto Jimenez. 18, was arrested Friday at 5:40 p.m. at his residence in Ontario.

Police believe Jimenez was the suspect in two residential burglaries, one of which culminated in a sexual assault.

Officials said the burglaries occurred in the 200 and 400 blocks of West Belmont Street in Ontario.

The first burglary happened in late July. Police said Jimenez entered a home and sexually assaulted a female resident.

In the second burglary, they said the suspect entered a home but fled when confronted by a female resident.

Detectives said they were able to link Jimenez to both crimes by evidence collected at the first crime scene.

Authorities said further follow-ups in both investigations have positively linked Jimenez to both crimes.

Detectives believe Jiminez might be responsible for other break-ins and urge anyone who might have additional knowledge to contact Ontario Police Detective Dave Newland at (909) 395-2898.
