Long Beach Teacher Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexually Assaulting Student

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday announced the arrest of a 43-year-old teacher who is suspected of sexually assaulting one of his students.

According to the Buena Park Police Department, Jason Gorski, of Fort Mill, S.C., was arrested June 21 on suspicion of committing continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Gorski is accused of sexually abusing one of his students from 2007 to 2009 while the victim was 12 years old.

During this time, he worked as a school teacher at Southestern Longview Private School in Long Beach for nearly four years, until April 2007.

Gorski attended Jehovah's Witness Cypress Congregation for several years and was appointed to become an elder of the congregation in May 2007.

The alleged abuse came to an end when it was reported to the Jehovah's Witness church.

Gorski was removed in 2009 as an elder from the church, but he continued to attend services at the congregation.

In 2010, he relocated moved to South Carolina and became a member of a nearby Jehovah's Witness congregation.

The case was recently reported to police.

Police believe additional victims who have not yet reported their abuse may exist.
