15 Freeway reopens after brush fire in Jurupa Valley

The northbound lanes of Freeway 15 reopened in Jurupa Valley after being shutdown Thursday morning from a brush fire.

Officials reopened the road around 9 a.m., but said drivers should still drive with caution through the area.

The fire started around 5:30 a.m. just off the northbound 15 Freeway and burned around 36 acres, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The fire is now 40% contained.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
