Big Rig Spills Produce On Connector From EB 91 To NB 710 Freeway

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A freeway transition road in north Long Beach will be closed through at least 10:30 a.m. Friday after a big rig overturned, spilling its load of produce.

The 5:30 a.m. crash prompted the closure of the connector from the eastbound Artesia (91) Freeway to the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. No injuries were reported.

A SigAlert was initially issued through 10:30 a.m. for the transition road so crews can clean up the produce that spilled on the roadway and clear the big rig, but was extended till nearly 2 p.m.
