Biden and singer Lady Gaga Thursday took the stage together at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where the singer also performed.
The White House is trying to draw attention to the crime with a campaign known as "It's On Us."
The initiative wants to provide support for sex assault victims and urges people to intervene when consent is questionable.
