A wise band once asserted, "anger is a gift" and when it comes to Lewis Black, that is certainly the case. The acerbic standup vet and "Daily Show" commentator will be sharing his no-holds-barred world view with his patented blend of vinegar, and hilarity.

Few comics are as instantly-likeable as Ron Funches. His sweet as honey delivery is always a delight, even when he's espousing some bitter dark truths. Plus, the Rec Room's vintage arcade makes it the ideal venue to check out the former "Undateable" star and champion of nerd culture.
The Dan Band
The Coach House

San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
(949) 496-8930

Best known for dropping some foul language in "Total Eclipse of the Heart" during a scene-stealing performance in "Old School," this musical comedy trio has become a Southern California fixture. Lead singer Dan Finnerty is a sight to behold as he belts out an irreverent mix of covers and bizarre originals.
Eddie Izzard
Segerstrom Center for the Arts
600 Town Center Dr.
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
(714) 556-2787
www.scfta.org
"Tour de force" is a term that gets thrown around willy-nilly, but when it comes to Eddie Izzard the label is definitely appropriate. Watching Izzard perform live is like sipping on a witches brew of Monty Python's irreverent enlightenment, Robin Williams' intensity, and a case of Red Bull. It certainly packs a punch, but you'll keep craving for more.

Director Kevin Smith and "Kevin & Bean" cohort Ralph Garman offer up their take on all things entertainment for their long-running podcast which calls the Hollywood Improv its homebase. Fortunately, OC fans can avoid a trip up across the county border as Smith and Garman with be taking their pop culture prowess down to Brea.

It's no surprise this incredibly talented "In Living Color" alum has been able to break out on her own. Johnson will be bringing her sketch comedy and musical skills (you can be all but certain that Bon Qui Qui will be making an appearance) for 16 sold out shows at the Brea Improv. If you haven't already secured your tickets, try checking in with the box office the day of the show to see if any spots open up.
