While July 4th barbecue's are a great way to celebrate the nation's independence from England, no July 4th could be complete without sitting back and watching fireworks light up the night's sky. From downtown to the westside, L.A. is throwing fireworks celebrations that will amaze your eyes. We've put together a list of the ones you won't want to miss.

Billed as the largest fireworks show in Los Angeles, join thousands of fellow Angeleno's as they celebrate the 4th of July at Americafest at the Rose Bowl. Beginning at 2pm and ending at 10pm, the 89th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at The Rose Bowl, will feature special musical performances by the Grammy Nominated Liverpool Legends and others, motorcycle stunts, a presentation of the colors and the national anthem, as well as the largest fireworks show in Southern California produced by Pyrospectaculars by Souza. The fireworks show will begin at 9pm.

Celebrate the 13th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Van Ness Recreation Center this year with Councilmember Bernard C. Parks and many others. The event, which starts at 12pm, will feature many activities for kids as well as music, and food available for purchase. Once 9pm hits, the fireworks show begins! The hour-long show is one of the longest in Southern California and will feature live music from The WAVE to go along with it. Make sure to get there early though to score a great seat!

Complete with live music by "Cover 2 Cover" and others, delicious food trucks, great family-friendly carnival games, attractions and of course, fireworks, Culver City is bringing their all for July 4th again this year. And organizers have promised this year will be bigger than the last! Gates to the event on the West LA College grounds open at 4pm and the organizers will be offering plenty of parking for the event for $5 per occupant (max of $20 per vehicle). The show admission is included in your parking fee. For walk-in tickets, there is a suggested donation of just $5 per person though. Food trucks offered include The Surfer Taco, The Berlin Truck, Hang Ten Taco, The Garbage Truck, Angie's Weiners, Dogtown Dogs, CJ's Wings, Boba Ni Taco and many others.

If one night is not enough for you, the Bowl is offering 3 nights of fireworks and entertainment for you to enjoy. From July 2nd to July 4th, the Bowl will feature Smokey Robinson as the headlining act along with patriotic music by the Orchestra. Once they begin playing The Star Spangled Banner, enjoy the fireworks as they light up the sky over the Hollywood Bowl. It is quite a sight to see and well worth the price of the ticket for admission. It's certainly one of LA's best fireworks displays year after year and this year will not be any different.

This year, celebrate the 4th of July in Marina Del Rey with an awe-inspiring fireworks show over the water. Shot from a barge in the Marina, fireworks will light up the sky and water below for a 20 minute extravaganza. Although the fireworks start at 9pm, make a night out of it by visiting many of the harbor side restaurants which will be offering a magnificent view of the light show. The fireworks will be set off in the waters of the main channel between Fisherman's Village and the Breakwater, so anywhere near the waterfront will offer great views. Most parking lots will be full by 6pm so make sure to arrive early!

For America's Independence Day, head down to Grand Park in the LA Civic Center for a four-block block party which will feature the biggest rooftop fireworks display Downtown Los Angeles has to offer. Doors will open at 3pm. and at 9pm, join thousands of revelers for free as Grand Park lights up the sky with a fireworks pyrotechnics show that will surely not disappoint. The main stage of the event and viewing area will be located between Hill Street and Grand Avenue. Cost of admission is free as well!

Featuring musical acts topped by an enormous and long fireworks display, The Pacific Palisades High School puts on one of the best shows around the city. This year's headliner is The Westside Troubadours featuring Tom Freund, Adam Topol and Friends, who will offer an uplifting mix of originals and cover tunes in the beach rock and groove rock genres. Fireworks synchronized by music will fill the sky at around 9pm after the concert for a show that will surely not disappoint. Gourmet food vendors and trucks will also be on hand including Baby's Badass Burgers, Cousins Main Lobster, Urban Pie, Hang 10 Tacos, Dogtown Dogs, The Hungry Nomad and more. Food trucks open at 4pm, with gates to the high school opening at 6pm. Musical acts will follow promptly at 6:30 with the main fireworks starting around 9pm. Admission is just $10 and gates open at 5pm.

Join CBS for their annual Fourth of July Fireworks Festival which will begin at 4:30pm with music from a Beatles tribute band as well as an incredible car show from the Television and Motion Picture Car Club. The gate will close at 8pm in time for the fireworks show which should start around 9 so make sure to get there early and enjoy the night!
