Foodies get your stretchy pants ready because L.A. Street Food Fest is back for its 6th year, and ready to stuff you with some of the best bites from around the city. Or, for a more intellectual look into L.A.'s food scene, head to Skylight Books on Wednesday, where famed chef Roy Choi and author John Kun will be discussing his book new To Live and Dine in L.A. A world premiere of new ballet work hits the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion this week, and with concerts at the park, zoo, and Walt Disney Concert Hall, there are plenty of places to get your music fix.

L.A.'s home team begins their four game series against the Philadelphia Phillies tonight at Dodger Stadium. Before you root root root for the home team, cool off with a pint of Kirin beer topped with frozen beer foam, or chow down on a fried Dodger Dog or Frito Pie Dog. The San Gabriel Summer Nights Music & Movies program continues this Thursday with a special concert in the park. SoCal variety band Bumptown will rock the crowd with their "fun, funky, feel good music" that spans all genres. In addition to the tunes, face painting and games will keep the kiddos entertained. Glorya Kaufman's "Dance at The Music Center" introduces the world premiere of BalletNow, an exciting and original three-performance program. American Ballet Theatre Principals Roberto Bolle and Herman Cornejo serve as artistic directors, and bring three nights of specially curated works to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Curated by Bolle, tonight's premiere features an international ensemble of 18 dancers from 12 foreign countries, and consists of classic solos, pas de deux, and cutting-edge contemporary ballet. Over 100 hand-picked vendors will be in attendance at this 6th annual event serving sample signature bites of L.A.'s best street food. From hot gourmet food trucks to old school carts, the event will satisfy every taste. A $60 general admission ticket gets you all you can eat and drink, including a craft beer garden, iced coffee lounge, entertainment, and parking.
