Join the Los Angeles Children's Chorus as they honor Oscar and Grammy-winning "Frozen" songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez tonight at the Gala Bel Canto at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's Grand hall. Honored for their vast contributions to the arts and entertainment world, the event will include performances from the LACC choristers, led by Artistic Director Anne Tomlinson. Proceeds from the event will benefit the LACC's artistic, educational, and scholarship programs for youth. $375.

Head to the Fountain Theater this week for their production of "I and You," running now through June 14. The winner of the 2014 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award and a finalist for the 2014 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, "I and You" follows two students as they analyze and discover the mystery behind a Walt Whitman poem. Written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Robin Larsen. Every Thursday evening, patrons can purchase a pay-what-you-can ticket.

Back for its second exciting year, 2Cent's Acting Out INK Fest returns bringing together over 100 playwrights, directors, actors, and street artists for the three-day event in Los Angeles celebrating the female playwright, art, and the city of Los Angeles. The festival kicks off today at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, with continual shows (over 20) throughout the course of the weekend. The one act plays presented include the L.A. premiere of "A Brief History of Mah Jongg," by Faye Sholiton, "The Art of Forgetting," by Cathleen Meredith, and "Birds," by Meghan Brown, 2014 Ovation winning playwright. Single ticket and festival passes are available.

This weekend, head to USC's University Park Campus for the 20th anniversary of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Celebrated authors, live music, original works of art and photography, poetry, and culinary creations take center stage at the sprawling event that promises to reflect the diversity of the city of Los Angeles. "Bookchella" will include panels and conversations with celebrities as well as demonstrations with chefs and cookbook authors. Families will enjoy kid-friendly readings, crafts, activities, and up-close-and-personal dinosaur encounters presented by the Natural History Museum.
