Featuring a full orchestra, the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre presents the music of Journey on the holiday. Orange County's Pacific Symphony will perform "Wheel in the Sky, "Faithfully" and other Journey hits. In the spirit of Independence Day, the orchestra will perform patriotic favorites as well. Fireworks are scheduled at the end of the program to round out the exciting evening.

Lake Forest celebrates the 4th with their annual 4th Of July Parade which begins in front of El Toro High School located at the corner of Toledo Way and Ridge Route Drive. Early birds can stop by the Kiwanis pancake breakfast and watch the participants in the Firecracker 5K Run/Walk. Events include a Kiwanis pancake breakfast, a run/walk, a great parade, and much more.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at the San Juan Capistrano Sports Park this year in San Juan Capistrano. Gates open at 12 p.m and visitors will get to enjoy a full scale carnival offering children and parents plenty of fun. All rides and games require purchase, with the exception of a free mechanical train ride through the Sports Park and good old fashioned family picnic games that all ages can participate in. Vendors will be selling delicious food, wine, beer and treats, and a show will begin at 6pm before fireworks are set off at 9pm.
