Climate Day LA is back for a second year of supporting the Path To Positive LA initiatives for climate solutions. Over 1,500 Angeleno leaders, advocates, and locals will come together to discuss and celebrate solutions to climate change in a free daytime conference, open to the public. An evening concert ($35) with acts like Neon Indians, a DJ set by Eric Wareheim, and more will follow, as will a pricier benefit gala with food, drinks, and a performance by Moby.

After their big weekend grand opening, the new Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is now open for business. The new state-of-the-art space was created as a way for the community to connect with pets, learn more about animals, shop the latest products, and adopt pets in a whole new way. Kids will enjoy the education center, interactive adoption suites, and a kid-centric place space. PetSpace is open Wednesday - Sunday, and pets are welcome.

The Santa Monica Pier is once again hosting a twilight concert series featuring genre-spanning talent every Thursday night. Tonight's indie pop themed lineup includes Norwegian indie electronic duo LeMaitre and local alternative pop band Coast Modern. In addition to pier eats, a 21-and-over Concert Garden will serve adult drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Concerts are free, and because traffic can be tough, public transportation is highly recommended, and a bike/skateboard valet will be available.

America's largest Asian food market is back to representing the 626 at Santa Anita Park. The 6th season, billed as "Let's Play!", is bringing back old favorites along with a slew of new joints to feed the masses. Hundreds of food, arts, merchandise, and entertainment vendors will be dishing out food and fun through the weekend from 4 pm - 1 am (ending early on Sunday at 11 pm).

Anime enthusiasts are in for a real treat this weekend as the Convention Center hosts this year's Anime Expo. Come dressed as your favorite character and see some of the biggest names in the industry discuss their work in a series of panel discussions, and be the first to view upcoming anime movies and series. An Anime Music Video Theater will feature some of the most creative anime-to-music mashups created by fans, a Manga Lounge will hold over 4,000 volumes of Japanese comics to peruse, and of course there will be gaming and karaoke.

Culver City has been celebrating its centennial year with an array of events, and today they honor it with a food and wine festival. The Culver City Centennial Westside Food & Wine Festival will help raise money for three great causes by serving up samples of amazing food, wines, and spirits from some of the area's most popular restaurants. There will also be entertainment provided by local musicians, strolling magicians, and a fortune telling psychic.
