Authorities Seeking Man Who Robbed Bank In Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police and the FBI are looking for a man who robbed a bank branch in Seal Beach of an undisclosed amount of money Saturday morning.

Camera footage shows a suspect entering the Chase Bank office at 13900 Seal Beach Blvd. at about 9:30 a.m. and handing a note to a teller demanding cash, according to Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot in an unknown direction after receiving an undisclosed among of cash, Gonshak told City News Service.

The suspect is described as a a 5-foot-8 black man weighing about 140 pounds. He appears to be between 40 and 50 years old, and is partially balding with a graying beard and mustache. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black beanie at the time of the incident.

Seal Beach police and the FBI are investigating the robbery. City police detectives ask anyone with information to call 562-799-4100, ext, 1108 or 1112.
