Assistant Coach: Bryant, Anthony, Love Reportedly Play Pick-Up Game At UCLA

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — UCLA Assistant Coach David Grace took to Twitter on Sunday and added to the growing mystery of just who may have been in attendance at UCLA as the Los Angeles Lakers wait on All-Star Carmelo Anthony's free agency decision.

Anthony has long been courted by Lakers star Kobe Bryant to join the purple and gold, and the team is rumored to be the biggest threat to sign the seven-time All-Star away from the New York Knicks.

It was rumored on Sunday that Anthony, Bryant, and Minnesota Timberwolves star and former UCLA standout Kevin Love had scrimmaged together at UCLA.

The actual presence of Anthony and Love have not yet been confirmed.

Following the initial report, it became evident that Bryant may have been at UCLA alone, without either of the other two stars.

However, Assistant Coach Grace fueled the rumor flames once again when he tweeted out that all three were, in fact, in attendance, and were playing basketball together.

After a remarkably disappointing season, Laker fans delighted in the idea of picking up Love, who is said to be on the trade block, though still under contract with Minnesota.

Anthony met with the Lakers on Thursday.

The Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls, in addition to the New York Knicks, are also potential suitors for the 30-year-old former scoring champion.

Anthony was drafted in the first round (3rd pick overall) of the 2003 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets.
