Arson Suspected In Fire That Destroyed 2 San Bernardino Homes
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Two homes were destroyed Saturday in a brush fire that also left three firefighters with minor injuries.
Two more homes were yellow-tagged, which means there was structural damage but residents can enter.
The fire erupted on a hillside on W. Kendall Drive and N. F Street just after 1 p.m. Saturday and held at 8.7 acres.
It threatened multiple structures at its peak, spurring evacuation orders for Skylark Drive and Edgerton west of Pershing Avenue.
The fire prompted a large response, including 120 firefighters, eight engines, four water tenders, and multiple hand crews.
Investigators say they were looking into the fire as a possible case of arson in response to witness accounts.
