7-Eleven Hosting 'Name Your Own Price' Day To Benefit Charity
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — 7-Eleven storyes will hold "name your price day" Saturday to benefit Feeding America and to combat hunger across the country.
For one day, customers who purchase any Slurpee drinks will be helping to feed the hungry, as 100 percent of the proceeds from all Slurpees sold will go toward Feeding America and its local food banks.
Customers can select any cup, including refillable mugs, and name their price, and 7-Eleven will donate 100 percent of the net proceeds to Feeding America and its nationwide network of food banks
This promotion is a reversal of the company's more popular "7-Eleven day," held on July 11 of every year, where customers are entitled to a free small Slurpee drink.
According to Feeding America, more than 49 million Americans suffer with food insecurity, meaning that one in every seven Americans don't always know where their next meal is coming from.
Whether it is $0.05, $0.10, or $10.00, any donation Saturday helps the cause of fighting hunger in America.
Grab a @slurpee on 11/7 for Name Your Own Price Day. Helping @FeedingAmerica has never been cooler. https://t.co/aih75ep6lN
