6 Injured In Crash At End Of CHP Pursuit In Mid-City

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Six people were injured -- one of them critically -- in a crash at the conclusion of a California Highway Patrol pursuit in Mid-City Friday night, authorities said.

The pursuit began when California Highway Patrol officers attempted to pull over a driver for speeding.

Shortly before 9 p.m., that suspect crashed into three other cars in the 1500 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard in the Arlington Heights area, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

One of those victims was in critical condition Friday night.

One of the cars was launched through the front of a donut shop, creating substantial damage to that business.
