5 Freeway Reopens Near Grapevine After Closure Due To Snow
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The 5 Freeway in the Grapevine area was reopened Monday evening after being temporarily closed due to snow.
Northbound lanes of the freeway were closed in Castaic with southbound lanes closed at Grapevine Road.
All motorists still on the road were being escorted to the other side by CHP officers.

As of 7:48 p.m., Caltrans announced that the freeway was open in both directions, but advised motorists to drive carefully.
