4 Arrested With More Than 200 Pounds Of Pot Edibles In Westminster

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Four people were busted in Westminster with what officials said was more than 200 pounds of marijuana-laced cookies and brownies.

After a lengthy investigation, Carson sheriff's station detectives served a search warrant at a Westminster residence.

Officials seized over 200 pounds of edible marijuana pastries and candies, such as lollipops, as well as several hundred mature marijuana plants, numerous pieces of commercial baking equipment and other illegal narcotics.

The location served as a main base of manufacturing and distribution, police said, for edible marijuana products and other narcotics being illegally sold in Carson and possibly other locations throughout LA  and Orange counties.

Three people from Westminster, Violette Negrete, 22; Lynette Medina, 38; and Stephen Olsen, 50; were taken into custody, along with Megan Dyer, 27, a Georgia resident.

All were booked at Carson sheriff's station. Their bail was set at $100,000 each.
