35 Cosby Accusers Featured On Cover Of New York Magazine

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Nearly three dozen women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault have been featured on the latest cover of New York Magazine.

The article featured in Sunday's edition of New York Magazine hears sexual assault allegations from 35 women against Cosby, including individual stories that focus on each woman's allegation.

The online edition of New York Magazine, which was reported to have either crashed or been targeted by hackers Monday morning - also features video interviews of the women and intimate portraits taken by Amanda Demme.

"It's one of the most powerful images I've seen lately regarding disclosing and discovering how endemic sexual violence is0," Peace Over Violence's Patti Giggins said.

Audio snippets of selected interviews also appeared on the magazine's Instagram page, including former model Janice Dickinson, 60, who was allegedly assaulted by Cosby in 1982.

Dickinson told the magazine when she was 28, she was invited by Cosby to Lake Tahoe, saying he had a possible acting opportunity for her.

"It shouldn't happen to any person, man, woman or child," Dickinson said.

Author Noreen Malone told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO it took some effort to convince some of the women to participate in the feature.

"Some people, you know, they have experienced...they've gotten a lot of negativity online for coming forward, and they were a little slow to agree, for understandable reasons," said Malone.

The cover story comes on the heels of documents obtained from Cosby's testimony in a newly-released 2005 deposition in which the TV icon and comic legend admitted he obtained sedatives to give to women he wanted to have sex with.

Cosby, 78, has denied any wrongdoing and has not been criminally charged.

Earlier this month, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck confirmed the department has an ongoing investigation into Cosby, but it is unrelated to the 2005 deposition.
