3 injured after crash involving MTA bus in South LA

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a Metro bus in South Los Angeles on Sunday. 

The collision occurred at around 11 a.m. near the 5000 block of S. Broadway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. 

Firefighters say that of the eight people assessed at the scene, one suffered serious injuries, a second suffered minor injuries and a third declined medical transport to a nearby hospital. The five remaining people were assessed but had no medical complaints. 

The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. 

Investigators did not report if the injured people were onboard the bus or inside of the cars involved in the collision.
