3 Hurt When Car Slams Into Anaheim Bank

ANAHEIM (AP) — Police in Orange County say three people using ATMs outside a bank in Anaheim were hospitalized after they were struck by a vehicle that jumped a curb.

City News Service says the three were pinned to a wall Thursday afternoon at a Bank of America branch.

They were freed when the motorist switched into reverse.

Police Lt. Bob Dunn says a male victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries and is expected to survive. His wife was hospitalized in stable condition.

A second woman was also critically injured, but is expected to survive.

Dunn says the driver remained at the scene and alcohol is not likely to be a factor.

An investigation is ongoing.
