3 hospitalized after car crashes into light pole in Granada Hills

Three people were hospitalized when a car slammed into a light pole in Granada Hills on Wednesday afternoon. 

The crash happened a little after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Chatsworth Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived to the scene and found that one of the passengers was trapped inside of the car. They were able to free them before they were taken to the hospital. 

The two other passengers were also hospitalized. None of their conditions was immediately known. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
