3-Car Crash In Yorba Linda Injures 7
YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — Seven people were hospitalized following a three-car crash in Yorba Linda Thursday.
The crash was reported at about 9 a.m. at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Casa Loma Avenue. Witness statements were conflicting so far, but investigators suspect one of the drivers ran a red light, Orange county sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock said.
Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said firefighters had to cut off the roof of a Honda to free four people trapped inside. The driver, a woman in her 60s, and a female passenger in her 70s were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with injuries considered significant but not life-threatening.
A man in his 80s and another female passenger in her 70s were taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, Concialdi said, but their condition reports were unavailable.
A woman in her late 20s, who was in a Jeep, was taken to a UC Irvine Medical Center, but the extent of her injuries was also unclear.
A woman in her 40s and her 15-year-old son, who were in a car that rolled over, suffered minor injuries, Concialdi said. They were taken to Placentia Linda Hospital.
