3 Arrested, Thousands Of Marijuana Plants Found In Paramount Warehouse

PARAMOUNT (CBSLA.com) — Three men were arrested Thursday after deputies found a large indoor marijuana-growing operation at a warehouse in Paramount.

Deputies served a search warrant Thursday morning in the 7200 block of Madison Street and found several thousand marijuana plants in various stages of growth, Los Angeles County sheriff's Capt. Keith Swensson said.

The names of the suspects, who were arrested at the scene, were not immediately released.

The warehouse was rigged with "extensive" lightning and watering systems, Swensson said.

"Officials from the city have deemed the location unsafe, and red-tagged the building due to numerous electrical code violations found," Swensson said.

A follow-up investigation will be conducted by members of the sheriff's Narcotics Bureau.
